Hello! I'm Chris (a.k.a. "BAM"), GUM!'s drummer, percussionist, and co-founder.
I've been playing since my early years of grade school, where I was first taught by
a retired jazz musician, "Shortie" Hall, who also taught Dizzy Gillespie to toot a horn
years earlier. My music career includes everything from marching bands and orchestras,
to big band jazz and rock-n-roll. I enjoy listening to just about any type of music.
I'm a published songwriter (BMI), and have received regional radio airplay.
In my non-music career, I work as a computer pro, and have participated in several ventures.
My hobbies include motorcycling, skiing, and firearms, and more recently bicycling and golf.
And I really love Italian food. I'm married to my college sweetheart, Kim, who I met through
music activities. We have a wonderful new baby daughter, Miranda, and a handsome sheltie, Champ.
Virginia has been home for the majority of my life, though I love to travel to new places.
