Getting Started:

Getting Started in Windows 95:
Choose "Run" from the Start Menu, and type "d:gum_95.exe" where "d" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.

Getting Started in Windows 3.1:
Select "Run" from the File menu in the Program or File Manager and type "d:GUM_31.exe" where "d" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.

Getting Started with MacOS Computers:
If your computer has a PowerPC processor, double click on the icon named "GUM_PPC." 68040 processors are also supported, but the program will run more slowly. Simply double-click on the icon named "GUM_68K." Macintosh computers with a 68000, 68020, or 68030 processor are not supported.

After you've started the correct program on your system, you should soon see and hear GUM! stuff on your computer. Be patient, it may take a minute or so depending on the speed of your CD-ROM drive, etc. If you don't see a gumball machine on your screen or hear sound after a minute or two, you may have a problem with your system configuration. But if all goes well, you should proceed to click on the gumballs or on the "GUM!" characters to experience different events. Anything that looks like an active (lit up) button on any of the screens is something you should click on. Have fun finding the hidden easter eggs!
What is the best resolution for GUM! WADS?

GUM! WADS works best at a resolution of 640x480. A A higher resolution results in lagging of the computer if the mouse is clicked outside of the playing area.
